HOSA students are able to be honored in volunteering and other chapter related events in the Recognition category. Students are able to showcase volunteerism, community blood drive outcomes, and other types of engagement 
Below are the event synopses for the Recognition Events. Clicking on the link will direct you to the rules and guidelines for the event.

America's Blood Centers & HOSA Blood Drive

  • Host a blood drive in you community

  • Record number of donors via ABC website

  • Recognized at State and International Leadership Conferences

  • Volunteer with the organization in a number of ways

  • Online Testing event

  • Complete modules via National Library of Medicine

  • Silver and Gold Recognition awarded

Student Library

HOSA Happenings

  • Project based event

  • Student representatives create a unique communication tool to enhance/market HOSA at their school or in their community

  • Uploaded documents may be required prior to the State Conference

HOSA Service Project

  • Partner with NMDP (National Marrow Donor Program)

  • Track volunteer hours and monies raised for recognition at State and International Leadership Conferences

  • DEADLINE for SLC: March 31, 2026

  • Track on National HOSA's Activity Tracking System (HATS)

Outstanding HOSA Chapter Portfolio

  • Create a portfolio highlighting all the activities your chapter has done this year. 

  • Your chapter will get recognized for your accomplishments.

  • This is a STATE event only and does not qualify for ILC. 

Hilarity for Charity

  • Partner with HFC and  YMAA

  • Recognizes engagement and  bringing awareness of Alzheimers  Disease

  • Track volunteer hours and monies raised for recognition at State and International Leadership Conferences

Native American Advocacy

  • Presentation Event

  • Round 1 Test

  • 2-4 team members

  • Round 2: 25-minute analysis of a scenario

  • 6-minutes presentation of a solution

  • Sponsored by  Tribal Health, LLC

  • 1st place-$400/2nd place-$200
